Pirates didn’t really bury treasure like in the movies 🪙🌴 — but they did love gold, gems, and anything shiny!

They used maps, stars, and even parrots (yes, really!) 🦜 to help them find their way across the oceans 🌊

Most pirates didn’t say “Arrr!” in real life — that started in movies! 🎬 But it’s still fun to say, right? Arrr! 😄

Pirates had their own rules on ships called the “Pirate Code” 📜⚓ — and if you broke them, you could get in big trouble!

Some pirates were girls! 🏴‍☠️ Anne Bonny and Mary Read were two of the most famous female pirates ever!

The Jolly Roger ☠️ (the skull and crossbones flag) was used to scare ships into giving up without a fight

Pirates didn’t always wear eye patches because they lost an eye — sometimes it was to keep one eye adjusted to the dark below deck! 🕶️💡

“Oh no look! the pirate has golden coin 21!”

😲 “Oh no… what do we do?! Should we ask the pirate for the coin? We’ve come so far and worked so hard to collect them all!”

🧒 The explorer steps forward bravely.
“Um… excuse us, Mr. Pirate! We’ve been on a huge adventure — through jungles, valleys, and even ant tunnels — just to gather every golden coin! That shiny one you’re flipping… it’s coin number 21! Do you think, maybe, just maybe, we could have it? Please?”

☠️ The pirate lets out a loud, raspy laugh.
“HA HA HA! You want MY coin?! The one I found fair and square? What makes you think you should have it?!”

🧒 The explorer smiles kindly.
“Well… we know you’re a mighty pirate with tons of treasure on your beautiful ship. To you, it’s just one coin — but to us, it means finishing our journey!”

☠️ The pirate squints, then grins.
“Aye, you’ve got guts, little explorer… and you’re right. I do have mountains of gold and gems! What’s one coin to me? Fine, take it! But be gone with ya! And don’t let me catch you sneakin’ around here again!”

🧒🧒 The explorers cheerfully wave as they back away.
“Thank you, Mr. Pirate! That coin means the world to us! We promise we’re on our way out now!”
